Isaiah Thomas could make his Cavs debut vs. Celtics

The Cavaliers have practices scheduled for this weekend ahead of their Christmas Day Finals rematch against the Golden State Warriors, where Thomas is expected to play in live ball competition.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are planning on having Isaiah Thomas participate in five-on-five practices and likely have a scrimmage with their G League affiliate as he gets closer to returning from his hip injury. The Cavs first game of 2018 comes on January 2, and it seems Thomas is targeting that game for his season debut. The Cavs play the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day, the Sacramento Kings on December 27, and the Utah Jazz on December 30.

ESPN reports that a final determination for Thomas' return would be a joint decision between Thomas, the front office and the medical staff. When he does so, it will mark the first time he has participated in the full-court practice sessions since the Cavaliers acquired him via the trade that sent Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics. McMenamin noted that a source said that Thomas won't play at all in any games before Christmas.

The facial recognition feature will also notify you if friends or acquaintances upload photos with you in them but don't tag you. According to Sherman, this option will "completely turn off face recognition technology" for a user's account.

Thomas' return is projected to be sometime within the next three weeks, with the January 3 return to the Garden circled. The two-time All-Star would love to suit up against his former team.

"I don't know where that came from, but I hope so", Lue said following the Cavs' 106-99 win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday. They've won 18 of their last 19 games, and LeBron James is debatably having the best season of his entire historic career.
