We Will Win 135 Seats in 2022 Gujarat Assembly Elections: Rahul Gandhi

Gandhi took to Twitter in the morning to launch a fresh salvo before leaving for Gujarat on a stock-taking visit.

The Congress chief will talk to leaders from South Gujarat, North Gujarat, Central Gujarat and the Saurashtra-Kutch region and ascertain the reasons behind the party's defeat, though the party had improved its performance over 2012 elections.

The BJP on Saturday accused Congress chief Rahul Gandhi of indulging in cheap barbs and lowering political discourse in his bid to gain power.

Rahul Gandhi started his day in Gujarat by offering prayers at the Somnath temple in the state.

Gandhi has been using one-liner laced with satire to target the BJP in recent months. In October, Mr Gandhi had famously expanded the GST as "Gabbar Singh Tax", likening it to Bollywood blockbuster Sholay's iconic villain Gabbar Singh who "covets people's earnings".

Asked about Ronaldo's future, Zidane added: "For us, it is fundamental that Cristiano stays all his life". Los Blancos pushed for more goals in the closing stages as Ronaldo and Bale were denied by Grohe.

"If (the) BJP had a film franchise, it would be called "Lie Hard"," Gandhi tweeted, with hashtags #BJPLieHard #BJPLies #HowManyBJPLies. "Their model is to come up with a lie, spread that lie, and just keep repeating that lie until people believe the lie", he said. "You now know that Congress can win elections in Gujarat", Rahul Gandhi said.

Later in the day, Rahul is slated to meet the participants of the shivir in Ahmedabad.

He further said that the manner in which Congress campaigned for Gujarat has made the country think that they were not campaigning for elections but were on a temple run.

"During Gujarat elections, it seemed like the Congress leaders and the BJP leaders were not campaigning for elections but were trying to visit the maximum number of temples".
