More snow on the way this Christmas day — Metro Detroit Weather

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Ionia, Clinton, Shiawassee, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Livingston, Calhoun, Jackson and Washtenaw Counties through 7 P.M. Additional snowfall and blowing snow will slow travel across the area today.

Rain showers with some freezing rain and sleet mixing in at times, then colder air will begin to push into WNY for the afternoon quickly changing over to snow into the evening on Saturday.

Total accumulations of up to two inches will be possible, but most should end up around an inch. Tree branches could fall as well. More snow is also in the forecast with another inch expected to frost the area.

Hayne, who is not facing criminal charges, issued a strong denial of the rape allegations through his lawyer on Wednesday. Hayne said he had previously provided "all reasonable assistance" to authorities after the woman went to police.

Lake-effect snow is a good bet, if all the parameters congeal, behind the arctic front late Monday into Tuesday.

Tuesday: Very cold with highs in the mid teens.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is active for much of northern Ohio. Plan on slippery road conditions. There also is a growing concern for some downed tree limbs and isolated power outages.particularly across north central and interior northeast MA where low level cold air hangs in the longest. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
