Trump tweets that people are 'saying Merry Christmas again,' credits himself

President Trump had a Christmas Eve message for USA troops stationed around the globe: "We're winning".

It is costing a pro-Trump non-profit $1 million to air a new Trump ad on television that ends with a little girl saying, "Thank you President Trump for letting us say "Merry Christmas" again!"

He specifically praised the Coast Guard for their response to the hurricanes this fall. And as for Trump, who has sent a series of combative tweets since arriving at his Florida vacation home said he wants "peace for the country". "What a job you've done".

"It's one that we've heard and we speak about and we dream about and now, as the president of the United States, it's my tremendous honor to now wish America and the world a very Merry Christmas".

Trump told a caller from MS that the state is "great" and predicted that "Santa is going to treat you very well". "The Coast Guard saved thousands and thousands of lives, nearly it's unbelievable when I look at the charts, I saw the number of lives you saved", Trump told them.

Trump took questions from the service members after the media were escorted out of the room.

'If I don't see you during the day, have a great holiday and a great Christmas, thank you very much, ' he said as the pool reporters were being ushered out.

The president also retweeted a supporter's tweet that showed an image of the president inside a vehicle with the text "winning" above him.

'Despite only negative reporting, we are doing well - nobody is going to beat us.
