Both the phones come equipped with an Infinity screen, which means, that much like Samsung's Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+, the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ 2018 also come with an edge-to-edge bezel-less display.

Samsung has announced the latest Galaxy A models: the A8 and A8 Plus. The devices are the first in Samsung's A series to support Gear VR.

There's a 3,000mAh battery packed in, with support for fast charging, plus 32GB of storage as well as a microSD card slot. The selfie camera on the front is now 16MP + 8MP with f/1.9 aperture on both the sensors. The A8 has a 5.6-inch AMOLED display, while the A8 Plus is the same but larger, at six inches. Samsung says users can switch between the two cameras depending on the type of selfie you want - from close-ups, to portrait shots with a clear, crisp background. In the forthcoming Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, there will be the presence of fingerprint scanner just under the camera panel, and the other flashlight LED and heart rate sensor will be placed adjacent to the group consisting camera lens and fingerprint sensor.

Available in four colors (black, orchid grey, gold and blue), the fingerprint sensor on the rear is located below the camera, which is also the rumored configuration for the Galaxy S9 next year. Live Focus allows for pre and post-editing of the bokeh effect. Disappointingly though, rather than Android Oreo the A8 (2018) runs Android 7.1.1.

Xbox Games with Gold for January feature vampire and treasure hunters
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III features Xbox One X enhancements, which are a gamechanger for a title of its caliber. Despite not getting wonderful reviews, Army of Two garnered a lot of praise from gamers which helped it become a franchise.

On the back, the Galaxy A8 2018 series continues with a single camera, and this one is 16MP with f/1.7 aperture.

The Galaxy A8 has a 3000 mAh battery on board, while the bigger phone has a 3500 mAh battery.

- The A8 and A8+ 2018 are IP68 certified, which makes them dust and water-resistant and also they comes with Samsung's characteristic Always-on display.

Coming to the display, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8 Plus (2018) both feature the Infinity Display with screen sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio display.
