Carlos Carvalhal asks Jordan Ayew to be a 'leader' for Swansea

Swansea City produced a stunning turnaround to win 2-1 at Watford in new boss Carlos Carvalhal's first game in charge.

And with just a bit of momentum at their backs, the Swans dug deep were able to score again, through Luciano Narsingh in stoppage time.

It was fifth defeat in the past six games for the side and has saw them drop from fourth to mid-table, while they are still seven points clear of the relegation zone and on course for survival.

"Before the game I said if you ask 100 people, 100 will say we will be relegated. In this moment, in 100, 98 will say we will be relegated", said Carvalhal after Swansea's second league win in 13 games. It is still a small percentage.

In a lively start to the match, Jordan Ayew struck the bar from 25 yards for the visitors before Andre Carrillo headed Watford in front on 11 minutes, BBC reports.

The 2013 African Nations Cup victor also hopes to close in on Marcos Alonso's goals and assists tally and this term. César Azpilicueta is having arguably his best season and has helped solidify the Chelsea backline.

"Me, my players, the chairman and fans do not belong to this 100". We believe. It will be very tough until the end.

It could have been 2-0 but Molla Wague's header was disallowed and Andre Gray was denied by Lukasz Fabianski with five minutes left.

"I think we delivered that - and deserved the win".

"If players do not play with the commitment and the heart, we would not have achieved this victory". If this is the beginning, we will be better in the future because with more training to change the dynamic we will be better. "It will be very hard, we have a difficult game on Tuesday against Tottenham, who have not played this weekend".

- Swansea scored a 90-plus minute winning goal in a Premier League game for the fourth time and for the first time away from home since April 2014 at Newcastle, when Wilfried Bony scored their victor that day.
