About that title change for FX's 'Atlanta'

About that title change for FX's 'Atlanta'

"That was the inspiration for season two", Donald revealed at FX's Television Critics Association press tour on Friday to laughter, adding at one point that it was one of his favorite childhood TV shows.

Season two of "Atlanta" is tiny, toony, and a little loony. We really tried to just devolve what television was.

Specifically, Glover said he turned to "Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Summer Vacation", a television movie that was sliced up into four episodes of the series that played like a highly serialized television arc. Noberto Barba directed the pilot and is executive producer, with Kurt Sutter. But that doesn't mean there will be new titles for every season moving forward, either. Before he left to shoot the Lucasfilm blockbuster, however, Glover assembled his writers room and got the scripts for Atlanta Season 2 ready to go, so when he wrapped Solo last fall, he was ready to move right into production. "You enjoy them more when they're together but you also enjoy them in bits", Donald says. "We picked a lane a little bit more". "Basically, a bunch of crime happens in the city right during that time". "People just have more stuff, money". We don't know exactly why Glover chose to call it "Robbin Season", but considering Season 2 is expected to be even greater than the first, the title seems appropriate. When we were there shooting my neighbor got her auto stolen off her driveway. Season 2 will be set during that time, and it will be the backdrop of the season when characters are going through "that desperate transition" that much of the Atlanta of Atlanta goes through.

Now US network FX has announced that the second season of the show will go by the title Atlanta Robbin' Season, premiering on March 1.
