Carson Wentz ditches cane, showing progress in ACL rehab

Talking to reporters for the first time since suffering his injury, Wentz said that he tore his ACL and LCL.

No matter when he gets back, there's one thing that won't be changing when he returns: His playing style.

The Philadelphia Eagles are back in the Super Bowl for the first time since 2004 with Nick Foles leading the charge under center. He threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game. On the ground, he tallied an additional 299 yards in 13 starts.

Wentz said he's proud of not only the job Foles has done as his replacement but also the way the entire team continued to move forward after his injury.

"I don't think so", Wentz said, via NBC Philadelphia. "Seeing this team battle through these playoffs, and battle all season long through adversity, injury after injury, I wasn't the only one". I got through that pretty quick. "I knew the season was over for me personally. My teammates and my faith have gotten me through it and that's been great". "It's not easy to just step in there, having no reps throughout the season".

Meryl Streep joins the cast of 'Big Little Lies'
Kelley will serve as the showrunner, though filmmaker Andrea Arnold is taking over directing duties for all seven episodes. Both Nicole and Reese are also executive producers of the show and will return in that capacity as well.

Wentz said Friday that whether it is in the press box or on the sideline, he couldn't be prouder of his team overcoming the adversity of his injury as well as those to Hall of Fame left tackle Jason Peters, middle linebacker Jordan Hicks, running back Darren Sproles, special teams ace Chris Maragos and others which have served as motivators for this team throughout the season.

He attends practices and numerous team and positional meetings and watches film with Foles and the Eagles' other quarterback, Nate Sudfeld. Despite the injuries, Wentz is feeling confident about his recovery. "Nick's the guy. Nick's been voicing his opinion more than anybody, and I'm just trying to help in any way I can".

Safety Malcolm Jenkins, one of the team's leaders, addressed the team in the visitor's locker room at the LA Coliseum immediately after the Rams game.

Wentz firmly believes this is just the beginning. And if you're aware that the Eagles still have never won a Super Bowl, you probably can guess how that worked out. "I think the proof is in the pudding". We're establishing a culture.

"We're wired for success for a long time".
