OnePlus 5 is the second phone after OnePlus 5T to get the OxygenOS 5.02 update.

There's no denying the fact that OnePlus has by and large been consistent updates for their devices, but the recent flip-flop with the OnePlus 3/3T updates had the community sceptical about when the OnePlus 5T would actually get an Oreo update. The first stable Android Oreo-based OxygenOS update brings a new design for Quick Settings along with general bug fixes, improvements as well as a mitigation for Spectre-like vulnerabilities. Do remember these things during the time of installation of any major software update. As usual, the updates, which come as Open Beta 31 for the OnePlus 3 and Open Beta 22 for the OnePlus 3T, also adds performance enhancements and system stability.

Quick settings went through a redesign and now you can add even some non-standard buttons such as Spotify offline mode to the quick settings.

According to a Twitter user in India, the OxygenOS 5.0.2 update is to Indian units with a file size of about 1.7GB. OnePlus 5, for instance, features a rear panel which is similar to iPhone 7 Plus. For stable updates, factory reset your phones and then flash a firmware build.
