Janet Jackson will not perform in Super Bowl halftime show

It's been fourteen years since we have seen either Janet Jackson or Justin Timberlake perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. In the days leading up to the Super Bowl, numerous headlines fell on the match's Halftime Show, performed by Justin Timberlake this year.

Justin Timberlake has finally shared some important details on the upcoming 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and fans will surely be disappointed.

During the performance, an aerial shot showed U.S. Bank Stadium was covered in purple light. He performed at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 with Janet Jackson, and 14 years after the controversial "wardrobe malfunction" the National Football League made a decision to bring him back to the big stage.

There is no word on what special events Timberlake has planned - a reunion with Janet Jackson is not one of them, however - and he denied an NSYNC reunion. She thanked her fans for their support and added that she is looking forward to "seeing you all very soon".

The biggest intrigue surrounding today's Super Bowl may involve someone who isn't even there. Janet Jackson had her wardrobe malfunction and you know the rest.

It will be Timberlake's third time performing in the Super Bowl and his most recent performance in 2004 didn't come without controversy.

Prince recorded his music, filmed videos, held concerts and rehearsed for shows at Paisley Park from 1988 until 2016, when he was found dead there inside an elevator.

He continued, "Also, what they did with that Beatles song ["Free As a Bird"], manipulating John Lennon's voice to have him singing from across the grave. that'll never happen to me".

But Sheila E., who collaborated and maintained a close friendship with Prince for decades, tweeted Saturday night that she had spoken with Timberlake and confirmed there would be no hologram.

In related news, Timberlake released his latest album "Man of The Woods" just earlier this week on February 2.
