Porzingis Injury Scare As Knicks Suffer Bucks Rout

But those plans were derailed when Porzingis crashed to the court, punching the floor in pain after a dunk in the second quarter of a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.

It has been a rough few decades for Knicks fans. It's an optimistic stance, but it's also a sign of respect for what has proven to be a strong work ethic. Stay tuned for the latest Kristaps Porzingis injury update.

Before the injury, the Knicks were in a weird spot.

"I thought it was a very good effort", said Joe Prunty, who is 7-1 since replacing the fired Jason Kidd as coach on January 22.

With only two months left on the season, Porzingis' 2017-18 campaign is certainly under wraps, with the Knicks switching the emphasis on developing their younger players and building toward next season. Without the unfortunate injury, the Spurs' dynasty doesn't even exist. Porzingis is a popular player for his wide array of skills at 7-foot-3 that led Kevin Durant to nickname him a "unicorn", but also for the personality he brought to NY when he arrived in 2015 as a teenager from Latvia.

On Twitter, Dwyane Wade of the Cleveland Cavaliers noted that Porzingis was just one of a number of high-profile players who had been sidelined by season-ending injuries, a list that includes DeMarcus Cousins of the New Orleans Pelicans, Gordon Hayward of the Boston Celtics and Jeremy Lin of the Nets. "It was a bad pass but I was able to get up and go get the ball".

Speaking to reporters after the Oklahoma City Thunder's 125-105 win over the Golden State Warriors (via Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript), Anthony said Porzingis' injury was "sad".
