Solo: A Star Wars Story hits the cover of Entertainment Weekly

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits the cover of Entertainment Weekly

Alden Ehrenreich stars as the coolest smuggler in film history, also known as Han Solo, in the upcoming film, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

We've not long to wait though as Solo: A Star Wars Story hits United Kingdom cinemas on 25 May. As you may well know, the magazine's Star Wars correspondent Anthony Breznican is often one of the first journalist allowed behind the scenes to get the most pertinent information for each new film. "It's clear when you're up close and seeing him do it just how much Wookiee craft he really has to do, knowing how to move in the suit to convey the right things".

Is the Star Wars hype seeming to disappear?

Woody Harrelson's Beckett is giving off some Galen Erso in Rogue One vibes (at least in the costume department). (He's reportedly a mentor-character for Han.) The trailer then flashes through a montage of apparent "crew members" including Lando, Han and Chewie, to name a few. The teaser opens with Han, played by Alden Ehrenreich, turning on what appears to be the Millennium Falcon.

We're predicting Donald Glover is going to straight-up steal this movie as Lando Calrissian.

OK. "What a piece of junk" was NOT an exaggeration.

The first couple of pictures give us some really detailed shots of the young Han Solo, as well as Chewie and the original layout of the Millenium Falcon. No doubt the emphasis on the dice was to prep for the release of the Solo movie, where they'll probably be more prominent. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. We've already done a full breakdown of the trailer that digs into all the noteworthy info we could pull from the footage.

Star Wars fans' wait got over when Disney and Lucasfilm dropped the first Solo: A Star Wars Story short teaser during this Super Bowl 2018 weekend.

Screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, who penned the script with his son Jon, called the movie "a secret bromance" between Chewbacca and Han Solo.

Solo went through some turmoil during its production after the firing of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller near the end of filming.
