BJP prepares to brand PM Modi a 'global legend'

A day after the Prime Minister's hard-hitting speeches against ruling left front in Tripura in two election rallies, Congress general secretary and former minister C P Joshi alleged that Narendra Modi did not deliver like a Prime Minister rather it was a deliberation of a BJP man.

"These standalone visits to Israel and now Palestine are significant because traditionally, all earlier visits by senior Indian leaders over the past few years, and there were many recently, were marked with a customary visit to Ramallah", said an Indian diplomat.

During the meeting, Modi told the King that he is looking forward to his visit to India in February end.

The prime minister's visit will begin from Palestine from tomorrow after transiting through Jordan, where he will meet King Abdullah later in the day.

Modi is on a three-nation tour Jordon, Palestine and UAE starting Friday.

New Delhi is funding an India-Palestinian technology park in Ramallah to help develop IT skills and generate employment.

A lot of Palestinian diplomats have received training in India and hundreds of Palestinians have availed scholarships to study at Indian institutions as part of New Delhi's effort towards capacity building in Palestine. "Usually, these visits are made after apprising both sides".
