Battlefield 2 in Development, Goes Back To WW2

It appears that Battlefield V is the next game in the long-running Battlefield series, not the previously rumoured Battlefield: Bad Company 3.

We know a new Battlefield game is releasing this year: publisher EA confirmed as much in January.

EA and Battlefield developer DICE decided on this strategy several years ago.

At this point, it seems like the next Battlefield being set during World War II is all but a lock, so are you excited to see the series once again tackle the Big One? But GamesBeat backs up what TheAlmightyDaq revealed previous year by also reporting that DICE is holding onto a potential Bad Company sequel in case they need to make another strategic shift in the future, just as they did with Battlefield 1 and are doing with Battlefield V.

Jessie Diggins selected as United States flag bearer for closing ceremony
Diggins will be the only US cross-country skier to race in all six women's events. She lives in Stratton, Vermont, and trained at the Stratton Mountain School.

Battlefield 1 was a big success for EA, though it's about time for the next game in the series to take the mantle. These sources wish to remain anonymous. The title seems to suggest that EA is returning Battlefield to the numbered naming structure that was last used in 2013.

Some sad news from today's rumor is that it sounds like Bad Company 3 is not getting developed soon. Of course, that wasn't the case - Battlefield I finished 2016 as the No. 2 best-selling game in the United States, according to the industry-tracking firm The NPD Group.
