It's not "impossible" for Real Madrid to win La Liga - Zinedine Zidane

It's not

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale on Saturday overtook David Beckham as the British player with the most appearances in La Liga, marking the occasion by scoring the opening goal in his side's 3-1 win over Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"We have two days to see how Luka and Toni are".

Having been a key member of Zidane's side this season, Marcelo's return to action after missing three games will be a welcome addition as the defender starred in Real's first leg against PSG.

Getafe were back in the match in the 65th minute, however, when Francisco Portillo scored from the penalty spot after Molina went down under a challenge from Nacho, who appeared to play the ball.

Madrid were always in control at the Bernabeu and took the lead on 24 minutes when Gareth Bale slammed home after a loose ball fell to him inside the penalty area, on the night when the Wales global made his British record 117th La Liga appearance.

Ronaldo returned to the line-up after being rested for the clash against Espanyol earlier this week.

Here's a look at Russia's 'invulnerable' weapons
It is reminiscent of U.S. work in the 1960s on a similar weapon, dubbed "The Big Stick", but ultimately scrapped. The message to the outside world is "don't mess with us, we are a major nuclear power".

Bale came close to making it 4-1 in the final moments when he curled one towards the bottom corner, but the Welshman's effort clipped the outside of the post, before he was denied by Martinez moments later.

Getafe, 10th in the standings, played a man down from the 47th after striker Loic Remy was sent off for a reckless foul on Nacho Fernandez.

El Gato have an impressive defense which has let in only twenty-two goals this campaign, the third best behind Barca and Atleti. As we have seen before, the 33-year old seems to have planned his physical preparation in order to reach peak condition for the latter stages of the competitions, although this time only European glory is available.

The kick off time for the match is 8:45pm Nigeria time.

Leganes ended its eight-match winless streak by defeating last-place Malaga 2-0. It is six points behind second-to-last Deportivo La Coruna.
