Drunk man passes out in Uber, takes $1600 ride

In the end, the total cost came to: $1,635.93! "And I'm thinking, 'Why the f*ck am I in the auto next to some random ass dude I don't even know?"

Home for Bachman was over 300 miles away in Gloucester County, New Jersey.

Before you go out to party with your friends, make sure you have a local place to stay.

Bachman said that by the time he realized what was happening, he was already a couple of hours into the five-hour trip. "That's insane. Why did you agree to take me to New Jersey from West Virginia?" he said, upon waking from his expensive, 300 mile nap.

Bachman told NJ.com that he accidentally ordered an UberXL - a more expensive option to the typical UberX auto - and that he stayed in the van after he woke "because what am I, just going to get dropped off on the side of the road?" He got in the auto, and fell asleep.

Trains, buses and flights cancelled as roads empty for gritters
Ryanair has announced that it is now planning for a return to full operations, in all Irish airports, this Saturday, 3 March. These cancellations follow on from travel mayhem yesterday with 2000 flights cancelled across Europe in total .

Bachman stopped at a CVS to get cash back in order to give the driver money to pay the tolls the rest of the way.

Bachman's ride was more expensive because he unintentionally ordered an UberXL, which features vehicles that can hold up to six passengers and costs more than the traditional UberX. He said that he never put the address into the phone and that, at some point, the driver got control of the phone. You go out on the town, have one too many margaritas, and need to call an Uber home.

The driver claims that Bachman had asked to be taken to his native New Jersey rather than to his temporary living quarters near campus, NJ.com reports. "He was on my phone, without me allowing it".

Uber and Bachman connected and resolved the matter and he ended up agreeing to pay the full fare. The driver was fined at every toll.
