The BJP Chief expressed confidence that his party will come to power in Odisha in 2019 while addressing media soon after his party produced a stunning performance in in the Assembly elections in Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya on Saturday. BJP's first victory in Tripura elections halted a 25-year uninterrupted rule of Communist Party of India (Marxist), in what was largely a direct fight between BJP and CPM.

A visibly overjoyed Shah though, turned sombre in remembrance of fellow partymen who had lost their lives in political violence.

"It is a day of joy for me and crores of BJP workers".
