WWE legend 'in final stages of MASSIVE comeback deal' for Wrestlemania

WWE legend 'in final stages of MASSIVE comeback deal' for Wrestlemania

WWE has been (trying to) tease the return of The Undertaker for WrestleMania 34.

The Undertaker retired from WWE at Wrestlemania past year, competing against Roman Reigns. As Nakamura was heading to the back, Cena's music hit and they had a brief staredown near the ring with both men pointing at the WrestleMania sign. If at all the John Cena vs The Undertaker match happens at the Wrestlemania this year, it will be one of the biggest matches in a long time. But not so fast.

While Cena has since gone on to become a 16-time WWE champion, Mysterio has wrestled around the world over the past three years, and is now a featured act for British company Five Star Company. And while his sources confirmed that Rey Mysterio and WWE "are involved in ongoing discussions for his return to the company", he stated that PWInsider "have been told by several sources that Mysterio was not actually in LA last night", which contradicts Sports Illustrated's original report.

Reports of negotiations between Mysterio and the WWE have made the rounds even before his Royal Rumble appearance.

What this means for The Undertaker is anyone's guess, considering the Deadman hasn't looked to great in his recent performances.

Regarding the match build, the belief is that Undertaker won't respond to Cena until after the WWE Fastlane event, where Cena is scheduled to compete in a Fatal 6-Way for the WWE Championship.

Europe pushes back against Donald Trump's proposed steel and aluminum tariffs
The United States sells a little more steel to Canada than the other way round, according to the U.S. Arcelormittal Dofasco is making more steel than ever and Stelco is operating again.

Above, you can see Daniel Bryan announcing the match between Cena and Styles, which was, as always, an excellent match. The call-out by Cena is his attempt to gain a slot at the biggest upcoming WWE event, WrestleMania 34.

WWE's SmackDown Live is being broadcast from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 27, 2018. Since leaving the WWE, Mysterio became a part time wrestler on in the indies, never losing the height of his career.

As for Rey Mysterio, there's no doubt his return would be met with excitement no matter if it's against John Cena or not, the fan favourite got a huge pop at the Royal Rumble.

There are also details that need to be negotiated, such as opportunities for Mysterio outside of the WWE.
