The Rams agreed to trade linebacker Alec Ogletree and a 2019 seventh-round draft pick to the New York Giants for the Giants' 2018 fourth- and sixth-round draft picks, multiple media outlets reported.

Here are five things to know about the Giants new middle linebacker in Ogletree.

Remember, guys like center Mitch Morse, defensive lineman Chris Jones, linebacker Reggie Ragland, cornerback Kendall Fuller and receiver Tyreek Hill will all need new contracts in the next couple years.

Ogletree was a first-round pick who made the NFL All-Rookie Team in 2013.

Germany coalition deal: Social Democrats vote to join government
In a tweet, they labeled the SPD's decision a "catastrophe" for Germany, promising fierce opposition to the government. The outcome means the far-right AfD will be the largest parliamentary opposition party.

The fifth-year veteran was a force for the Rams over the past two seasons. He started at free safety his freshman year, but moved to inside linebacker as a sophomore. He missed 12 games in 2015 due to injuries. These did not carry over into his professional career, as he has been a model of consistency.

On the Rams' end, the trade is somewhat surprising, and that's because they just signed Ogletree to a four-year, $42 million extension in October.

The deal, which opens approximately $5.2 million in cap space for the Rams, can not become official until the league year begins on March 14.

Only time will tell what the Rams will do to replace such a key piece of their defense.
