Trump Welcomes House Panel Finding of No Election Collusion With Russia

House Republicans investigating foreign interference in the 2016 election say they have found no evidence that Russians colluded with any members of the Trump campaign and dispute a key finding from the intelligence community that Russia had developed a preference for the Republican nominee during the election.

On Monday, Congressman Mike Conaway said the committee found evidence of bad judgment, but no evidence of collusion.

Democrats have criticized Republicans on the committee for shortening the investigation, pointing to multiple contacts between Trump's campaign and Russian Federation and saying they have seen far too few witnesses to make any judgment on collusion.

"We have learned a great deal about countless secret meetings, conversations and communications between Trump campaign officials and the Russians, all of which the Trump Administration initially denied", he added. "It was a powerful decision that left no doubt and I want to thank the House intelligence committee".

The top Democrat on the committee, U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff of California, said the committee "has placed the interests of protecting the president over protecting the country".

Lawmakers had been telegraphing that last week's committee interview with former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was likely to be the last of dozens conducted since the committee launched its Russian Federation probe last March.

Asked if his comments put him at odds with Conaway and other Republicans on the committee, Rooney said they did not.

But the committee is so divided along party lines that Democrats are expected to issue a separate report with much different conclusions.

It looks like Snapchat are finally introducing tagging in stories
The feature also allows you to include the tagged person's Bitmoji and a QR code button that lets other users follow them. Instagram added Snapchat-style Stories back in 2016, and now Snapchat has fired back with its own copycat manoeuvre.

He continued: "I think there is absolutely evidence to show though they were trying to help Trump at some point, but also they were also trying to hurt our side as well".

Last week Republicans hit the brakes hard on the probe, saying it had reached the end of its usefulness and accusing Democrats of dragging it out so it hangs over the upcoming midterm elections.

Although completion of a draft report was announced abruptly Monday evening, Republicans had signaled for weeks that they were ready to wind down the investigation.

Expect Donald Trump to regularly cite the coming full report from the committee's Republican majority as exoneration, particularly its controversial conclusion that Russian efforts to disrupt the 2016 election were not specifically aimed at helping Mr Trump.

Special counsel Robert Mueller is reportedly investigating whether the meeting was held to create a back channel between Russian Federation and the Trump administration, according to the Post article.

"You've got the House Intel Committee obviously, Devin Nunes, who tried to recuse himself but just couldn't help himself, shoveling back and forth from the White House, being played as Donald Trump's dupe - and that's obvious that he was".

If Russians have leverage over the President, GOP has decided that it would rather not know.

The intelligence committees both in US Senate and the US House of Representatives were looking into an alleged collusion between Trump's campaign and Moscow, which appears to be corroborated by the unverified dossier.
