Jurgen Klopp has made a superb point about Oxlade-Chamberlain right now

"It was an fantastic atmosphere, the best I've ever played in", said Oxlade-Chamberlain, who struck a superb second goal in Liverpool's 3-0 victory.

Oxlade-Chamberlain doubled their advantage nine minutes later with a powerful drive from 25 yards which left Ederson no chance before Sadio Mane headed in a third just after the half-hour mark.

With the Merseyside Derby on the horizon, former Arsenal teammates Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been discussing why they both swapped the bright lights of the London for the vibrant city of Liverpool.

Towards the end of his last season with Arsenal, the England global struggled to find his best form and Arsene Wenger was blamed for the player's poor performances.

The England global struggled initially at Anfield but has settled into Klopp's plans, scoring in the Champions League quarter-final victory over Manchester City in midweek.

The pair, who are both graduates of the Southampton academy, spent six years together as teammates at the Emirates, playing a combined total of 595 games and scoring 128 goals during their respective time at the club.

Golf, Augusta Masters: Jordan Spieth on top, Tiger Woods remains in contention
Woods almost drove the green at the par-4 No. 3, pitched to about 10 feet and made the putt to set off a huge "Tiger Roar". If he were to win this tournament, he said, it wouldn't even qualify as the greatest comeback of all time in golf.

It was all about Oxlade-Chamberlain's effort, and Liverpool supporters began thanking Arsenal for the midfielder.

'Being in a different place, sometimes, can be better but only if you are aware of your problems.

"That's what we were hoping for, that when he came here he could make the next step with us, but it was never because of Arsenal or Arsene Wenger, it was always only because some things didn't work out that well any more. I showed myself that if it's on more often I can keep doing it".

No English footballer this year has turned his season and perhaps reputation around quicker than this midfielder; someone who arrived at Liverpool on the final day of the transfer window in August with many critics. It gives you an opportunity to do things in a new way and that has helped him. "We had to make the most of that", Henderson said.

"It was never bad". He is an outstanding talent with a lot of things to improve. A pattern emerged of one good game followed by three or four hugely frustrating ones, with the Ox one of several Arsenal players particularly guilty of losing possession in indefensible areas.
