'Absolutely No Link' Between YouTube Attacker And People She Shot, Police Say

Meanwhile loved ones consoling the family poured in and out - many confused by Tuesday's San Bruno shooting rampage.

As officers entered they found one victim at the front of the building with an apparent gunshot wound, Jackson said. On Thursday evening, customers streamed in and out carrying rifle cases, and an assortment of shotguns and rifles for sale were on display behind the counter.

Authorities have promised a deeper investigation into the shooter's past and her anger with the policies of the world's largest online video website, identified as her motive for attacking it.

YouTube employees posted on social media websites as the shooting took place. "There was nothing in her behavior that suggested anything unusual", said Mountain View Police Chief Max Bosel.

YouTube had no immediate comment about any actions related to Aghdam's videos.

"They didn't do anything and she got killed and three or four more people got hurt", Shahran Aghdam told the Mercury News.

Her family said they're not sure why Aghdam chose to confront Youtube today - but her birthday is on April 4, and she would have turned 39.

In a screenshot of the email uploaded on June 27, 2017, Aghdam rails against "discrimination and hatred problems against me", complaining of a "huge drop in views" after she began uploading videos in Farsi and Turkish.

Police identified the woman in Tuesday's shooting as San Diego resident Nasim Najafi Aghdam, who was in her late 30s. Mendoza said that to the best of his knowledge, she did not use any of the store's 13 shooting lanes.

He said two additional gunshot victims were found at an adjacent business minutes later.

California law limits gun magazines to 10 rounds each, but Caldwell said he did not know if Aghdam's were legal.

Later in the day, she went to a gun range not far from the YouTube headquarters. To purchase the firearm, Aghdam would have had to pass a background check that reviewed any criminal history, DMV records, outstanding warrants, restraining orders and mental health holds.

Police who found Aghdam sleeping in her vehicle early Tuesday in the city of Mountain View about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from YouTube headquarters said she was calm and said nothing about being angry with YouTube or having any plans to harm others or herself.

As of right now, the three shooting victims were rushed to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.

"I Googled 'Mountain View, ' and it was close to YouTube headquarters".

The brother of Nasim Najafi Aghdam anxious she might do something risky. Both women have since been released from a hospital, officials said. Range owner Jason Remolona refused to answer questions about whether Aghdam had been at the range, referring questions to San Bruno police. The company has vowed to beef up its security worldwide after the shooting.
