Casualties reported in strike on Syria air base: state media

The Pentagon said: "The Department of Defense is not conducting air strikes in Syria". China supports an investigation of the alleged use of chemical weapons in Douma, Syria, Hu Taitao said on Monday.

Israel military, which already bombed the T-4 airbase in February, refused to give any comments to Sputnik about the airstrike on the facility.

Earlier, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claimed the airstrikes killed 14 people, including Iranian citizens at the military base near the city of Homs in Syria.

Syrian state TV said there were casualties in what it said was a suspected USA missile attack on the T-4 airfield near Homs, which is close to the ancient city of Palmyra in central Syria.

Russia's Defense Ministry said two Israeli aircraft targeted the base Monday, firing eight missiles.

Syrian state TV initially said the United States was suspected of carrying out the attack on T-4. It also, perhaps, came as a bit of a surprise as Trump has often been criticised for his lack of the same towards his Russian counterpart for his country's alleged involvement in the meddling of the 2016 United States presidential election.

Russian Federation and Syria have invited a probe into the alleged chemical attack on the rebel-held town of Douma after USA president Donald Trump threatened that there would be a "big price to pay".

"Many dead, including women and children, in mindless CHEMICAL attack in Syria". "Area of atrocity is in lockdown and encircled by Syrian Army, making it completely inaccessible to outside world".

Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron "agreed to exchange information on the nature of the attacks and coordinate a strong, joint response", the White House said in statement on their phone call. Referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin, he added: "Everybody's going to pay a price - he will, everybody will".

The Syrian government had denied that any chemical attack had taken place, describing the rumours as "fabrications" and an attempt to deter armed forces from advancing on the city.

In 1979, Fowler and Ashby were a married couple living in Idaho Falls while Fowler was stationed at the Naval Reactors Facility. The solution seemed simple in his view: Mix Rowlette's father's sperm with a small amount of an anonymous donor's sperm.

The fast-paced developments heightened tensions between the USA and Russian Federation, which has in the past warned against any US military action against President Bashar Assad's government.

The Syrian government denied the allegations, which could not be independently verified.

Syria, backed its Russian and Iranian allies, dismissed USA allegations of its responsibility as "fabrications".

SANA reported that the missile attack on the T4 military air base in Homs province resulted in a number of casualties.

One video shared by activists showed bodies of about a dozen children, women and men, some with foam at the mouth.

Three Iranians were killed in an air strike on a Syrian air base near Homs on Sunday, Iran's Fars news agency said, as Syria and its main ally Russian Federation blamed Israel for carrying out the attack.

Affected Syrian kids wait to receive medical treatment after Assad regime forces allegedly conducted poisonous gas attack to Duma town of Eastern Ghouta in Damascus. The European Union also said evidence pointed to the use of chemical weapons by Assad's forces.

"The numbers keep rising as relief workers struggle to gain access to the subterranean areas where gas has entered and hundreds of families had sought refuge", the group said.

The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting on Monday to discuss the alleged chemical attack. Earlier, the Syrians had accused the USA of the attack, but Washington denied that claim.
