Dead Burglar's Family Demand Apology From Pensioner And Vow To Return Daily

The 37-year-old's family have been repeatedly leaving cards, balloons and flowers opposite the house where Vincent died during a botched attempt to burgle pensioner Richard Osborn-Brooks's home.

Vincent was stabbed to death by Richard Osborn-Brooks, 78.

The Met is keeping a "presence" in and around the Crescent to "provide reassurance to local residents", but a spokesperson said the location of the tributes is "not a matter for police".

Vincent's traveller community family have taken over the street in Hither Green, south east London, and are furious that their shrine has been taken down by outraged neighbours.

One tribute, thought to have been left by the dad-of-four's young daughter, said: 'Strangers can say what they like about you they don't no who you was so I don't care.

Mr Osborn-Brooks was arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail, but was told on Friday that no action would be taken on Friday, the Metropolitan Police said.

"This is the best place for these flowers to be".

Flowers being attached to the fence yesterday afternoon.

A neighbour, Theresa Webb, described the tributes as "inappropriate" and of "poor taste".

Vincent, a father of three girls from Kent, was part of a family gang that specialized in scamming the elderly, officials have said.

Bill Cosby paid almost $3.4m (£2.4m) in a settlement to a woman now accusing him of sexual harassment, according to a prosecutor. The District Attorney's office identified the protester as Nicolle Rochelle , 39, of Little Falls, New Jersey.

He said: "I don't appreciate it. There were 101 bouquets down there", she added.

Heart-shaped balloons and more than 20 floral bouquets have been left near the spot where the dying burglar was found, across the road from Mr Osborn-Brooks's home.

Mr Jeeves's white Vauxhall Astra van was found burnt out and destroyed in Star Lane in Orpington, Kent, on Saturday evening.

A former acquaintance of Vincent said the late crook has pals who "won't rest until they get their revenge" for killing "one of their own".

Thousands of pounds has been fundraised online to support the pensioner.

"Billy Jeeves, 28, is being sought by police following the burglary, committed at an address in South Park Crescent, Hither Green SE6 at around 00:45hrs on Wednesday, 4 April. Where can I put them?"

One suspect, armed with a screwdriver, forced the homeowner into his kitchen when he discovered them, while his accomplice went upstairs, the force said.

A struggle broke out between the two in which Vincent was stabbed in the upper body. It is unclear what implement delivered the fatal blow.

Both men then apparently attempted a getaway, but Vincent collapsed in nearby Further Green Road.
