Saudi Ambassador to Spain Prince Mansour said that the choice of Spain by the Crown Prince to include in his current visit to the major world powers showed the depth and strength of the bilateral relations that bind the two great nations.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France will work towards tackling world challenges facing global community, including climate change and human development and the joint action of the two countries will decisively contribute to these domains.

After concluding his visit to France on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has made his way to Spain on an official state visit.

Pressure has been mounting on Macron to scale back arms support for Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which are leading the coalition fighting the Iran-aligned Houthi group that controls most of northern Yemen and the capital Sanaa. "We have here a young leader who is going to be in the highest functions in a country where 70 per cent of the population is under 30", Macron said alongside the 32-year-old prince.

"We will not tolerate ballistic missiles activities that threaten Saudi Arabia", Macron said. Human rights groups also question how far the kingdom has come.

He and Macron stated their conflicting views over the Iran nuclear deal, which both Saudi Arabia and the USA strongly criticize.
