Breaking! Twitter crashes down; 'something is technically wrong' message pops up

"Thanks for noticing - we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon", the message said.

The micro-blogging site Twitter has resumed service but Twitter was sadly not working for quite some time. The Twitter has millions of followers including the big personalities across the world.

According to the website downdetector.com, thousands of users complained about the outage, which was concentrated in the USA, United Kingdom and Japan.

Twitter has gone down on Tuesday afternoon after suffering a serious outage. Users in Qatar were also reporting an outage of the network.

When trying to access the site during the outages, a message from Twitter staff read, "Something is technically wrong". The micro-blogging website went down about 14:00 GMT, according to Down Detector, a website which tracks technical problems on social media.

According to US' Newsweek, in New York City, almost 300 official reports have been made to downdetector.
