Sega have announced the Mega Drive Mini

In addition to a mini Mega Drive system, the company also announced at least 15 classic Sega games will hit the Switch this summer to celebrate the system's 30th anniversary.

What titles would you hope to see on the Switch from SEGA's golden years? Sega also plans to bring their classic games to Nintendo Switch.

The new device is similar to the NES Classic Edition and Super NES Classic Edition consoles from Nintendo, which contain sets of classic games. This will give Sega a huge advantage over Nintendo in terms of features.

This is a big news for Sega console fans.

Earlier today, SEGA promised to announce extremely important news at SEGA FES 2018 and delivered four impressive announcements out of which most of the announcements made were predictable. More details are likely coming around the bend soon, as Sega will want to keep excitement high by consistently revealing the other titles that will be re-released under the Sega Ages banner.

The game will include both English and Japanese voiceovers, visuals options for PC, a choice between modern and classic control schemes, fully scalable screen resolution, and it will come both in physical and digital forms.

The company has used the "Sega Ages" name in the past for a collection of classic arcade games on the Sega Saturn back in the mid-90s. The console looks just like a mini Sega Genesis console, although it doesn't hold cartridges like the original model did.
