Cavaliers won't suspend or fine Rodney Hood

Cleveland will await the victor of the Philadelphia 76ers-Boston Celtics series in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Cleveland Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue had the luxury of emptying his bench during the fourth quarter of Game 4 last night, as the Cavs routed the Raptors 128-93 en route to a four-game sweep.

Instead, it's the antics of swingman Rodney Hood, who will reportedly apologize to his teammates after refusing to enter the game during the the final minutes of the Cavs' Game 4 victory Monday night. He lost his spot in the Cavaliers' rotation when Lue opted to play rookie Cedi Osman over him.

Hood was the only player not to play in Game 4, though the Cavs do not view what he did as an act of defiance, a source said.

His role diminished in the second round against the Raptors, averaging just 0.7 points on 11.1 percent shooting (going 0-for-3 from 3 in three games), 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.0 minutes per game.

Trump Administration Will Separate Parents From Children at Border
The Department of Homeland Security reported nearly 51,000 people were arrested or turned away at the southwest border in April. According to the report , families that are detained for illegal crossings have typically been kept together in the past.

Hood will be a restricted free agent this summer. "It was a great opportunity for a struggling youngster to try to find his rhythm without any pressure before the next series".

So, when Lue pegged him for garbage time with 7:38 remaining and the Cavaliers leading 110-80, Hood reportedly refused to fill that role, and the Cavaliers turned to veteran Jose Calderon to close it out.

"Hood refused to go in, multiple sources confirmed". Hood balked, and his refusal to play put him at odds with his team. In the first three games of the series, Hood scored a combined total of two points on 1-of-9 shooting over 39 minutes.

According to Lloyd, Cavs GM Koby Altman plans to meet with Hood to get his side of the story, though there are reports that a suspension could be in play.

Originally taken in with the 23rd overall selection of the 2014 NBA Draft out of Duke, Hood was acquired from the Utah Jazz at the trade deadline as part of the Cavs' radical roster makeover.
