Manchester United's Jose Mourinho tips Paul Pogba to stay at Old Trafford

Asked if he needs more quality or a better mindset in his squad, Mourinho replied: 'Both.

As Wheeler noted, the France global midfielder has recently been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

When asked if Ferguson's condition would have an impact on the team, Mourinho said: "No, I can only think that if there is any relation it is a positive relation".

"Now his body says enough, the club and myself want to keep the man".

"So, when you find one of them, you have to value [them] and you have to keep [them] and in this case it is not about me, it is about the club. That's my feeling", Mourinho said.

"I trust some more than others that can bridge that gap", he said, per Wheeler. That's normal. I understand the players.

United know they won't recoup anywhere near the £89m they paid Juventus in 2016, despite still having three years to run on his contract.

The new requirement, to take effect in two years, brings solar power into the mainstream in a way it has never been until now. There are still significant upfront costs of requiring the solar panels on rooftops of new homes.

"Unless you can do that, and you go in the direction of the flawless squad, you have to keep players you don't love and players you don't totally believe have the level of the squad". If you go to the Premier League managers, I do not say every one, but I say the vast majority of them will tell you exactly the same.

Mourinho has no plans for a major overhaul of his squad, arguing he does not have the finances to buy players at will, which could be interpreted as a criticism of Manchester City.

The Frenchman can be frustrating, although when he is in full flow, he can be the team's driving force.

The former Aston Villa man will be 33 next season and so some fans are concerned that United are relying on him to be the first choice in the left back spot.

Michael Carrick is set to start the final match of the season on Sunday in what will be the midfielder's last ever Manchester United appearance. After this summer, excuses over personnel won't resonate, meaning it's crucial the club makes smart moves. "So in this moment, for me, he is staying".

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing to launch a bid for the 25-year-old.

However, speaking ahead of his side's clash with West Ham on Thursday night, Mourinho directly addressed Pogba's future.
