Ekiti 2018: Fayose Floors Adeyeye As Deputy Picks PDP Ticket

Kolapo Olusola, has emerged as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the July 14 governorship election.

The governorship candidate also expressed his readiness to work with the party stakeholders and leaders, including the former national spokesman of the party, Prince Dayo Adeyeye.

The chairman of the electoral committee, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State who was in charge of the process, called the delegates out one after the other and did a personal headcount as they lined up to cast their votes.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that a total of 1,968 delegates were accredited and voted at the primary poll.

Immediately, the leader of Governorship Primary of PDP in Ekiti state and Governor of Delta state, Ifeanyi Okowa, asked Senator Abiodun Olujimi and her agent to step down from the stage where they Saturday.

"The successful conduct of hitch-free and transparent gubernatorial primaries in Ekiti state on Tuesday is a outcome of the party's re-branding and repositioning project that has proved to be on course", he said.

The party also bared the secretary of the primary electoral committee as well as the agents of aspirants identified to have disrupted the process from further participating in the primary election in whatever capacity.

They are leaders of the party irrespective of what has happened before this primary.

He mocked the All Progressives Congress for not conducting a successful primary.
