Fire-breathing Disney dragon bursts into flames during parade

The Maleficent dragon float caught on fire today during the 3:00 performance of the "Festival of Fantasy" parade at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

Typically, the giant dragon float from the movie "Sleeping Beauty" shoots smoke from its nostrils and fire from its mouth in a great pyrotechnic display.

According to "Disney Dan", the fire was extinguished quickly and cast members confirmed that "everyone is fine". There were no injuries to employees or visitors, it was reported.

It happened during the Magic Kingdom's daily Festival of Fantasy parade.

Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel welcome their first child together
Kerr and Spiegel reportedly named their baby boy after Spiegel's grandfather, a prominent attorney in the San Francisco area. Miranda tied the knot to Evan in the backyard of their home in Brentwood, California, in front of 45 guests in May 2017.

Here's the procession with the fire-breathing dragon functioning properly. Photos and videos taken by park visitors show the contraption's upper portion bobbing up and down, engulfed in flames.

A Disney World spokeswoman said the company was still in the process of figuring out what went wrong.

The dragon is created to blow smoke and fire from its mouth, according to the Orlando Sentinel. A Disney worker is inside its neck and the float is surrounded by costumed staff.

The Maleficent dragon is regular feature at Disney World in Orlando Florida.
