David Gold 'hopes' David Moyes remains manager of West Ham

Moyes' short-term contract as West Ham manager expired following Sunday's final day Premier League win over Everton.

The report claims that while West Ham was pleased with the job that Moyes has done at the London Stadium, the club want to appoint a boss who they believe is capable of taking the team higher up the standings. "We'll wait and see when we meet up". We've not arranged a date, not arranged a time. "Confident? I can't quite say confident after all the rumours I'm reading in the paper", Allardyce said after a 3-1 defeat.

But following the Croatian's sacking in November and the appointment of David Moyes until the end of the season, the 29-year-old finally began to show his true ability - going on to finish the season with 11 goals and six assists as well as playing an instrumental role in the Hammers' survival.

Marko Arnautovic offered West Ham United fans a blunt apology for his performance's during the first three months of the season on Sunday afternoon after picking up the club's Player of the Year award.

Puel rues Leicester's poor game management in thrilling Spurs defeat
Lucas Moura won the ball high up the pitch and released Kane, who raced in on goal and shot past Eldin Jakupovic at the near post. With the scores level at 4-4, Vardy slammed in an equaliser for Leicester after a deft pass by Mahrez.

"When I came in I said they didn't run around and you look at today, you think "wow", he said.

"I thought we played really well with the ball".

Everton finished above West Ham and, thanks to Moshiri's investment, have more money to spend, but a lack of direction has held them back.

West Ham will have to move quickly to secure Fonseca, who Ukrainian giants Shakhtar are keen to tie down to a lucrative new deal.
