Battlefield V Will Not Include a Premium Pass

While standard Battlefield modes you've come to expect are returning, including the 64-player Conquest, Team Deathmatch and Domination, to fill out the multiplayer roster of modes. It lets four players take on missions behind enemy lines. DICE gave us a quick peek at this action in the reveal trailer that launched during their Battlefield V event earlier today. With help from The Daily Show's Trevor Noah, developer DICE made the big reveal that Battlefield will be moving on from World War I and transitioning to the fronts of WWII.

This time around it appears that Dice has put more emphasis on Operations, renaming it Grand Operations. It's the game's live services component with multiple chapters and events leading that allow you to earn more rare gear as you play.

The new game, which will be released on October 19, has been built around three different modes - the game's signature multiplayer, co-op mode Combined Arms and the single-player War Stories campaign.

Battlefield V revolves around what the game calls the Company, a group of soldiers players can create and deeply customise, right down to the weapons and vehicles they use, as well as the clothes they wear and the war paint they cover themselves in. Interestingly, there was no mention of the heavily rumored battle royale mode that DICE has reportedly been working on.

If this truly means no microtransactions (which, again, they steered clear of actually saying) then this would be a break from what multiplayer games have done in recent years. In addition, Battlefield V Deluxe Edition includes Starter Assignments - test your skills on the battlefield and gain rewards. Those who pre-order will also get early access to the Battlefield V Open Beta, an extra Special Soldier Set, and access to five weapons as soon as they begin playing. It comes with the following content. As you fight in epic, unexpected locations across the globe, enjoy the richest and most immersive Battlefield yet.
