Get ready to win WWDC 2018 with keynote bingo card

If the universal app support rumours between Apple computer and mobile systems are true, developers will only need to write one app for both platforms instead of re-writing the code for another.

Given that WWDC is a developer conference, it's become nearly tradition for Apple to unveil a sneak preview of the next version of all of its major software updates. It begins Monday morning at 10 a.m. PT or 1 p.m. ET. If you decide to try iOS 12 on your phone or tablet in June, you'll want to be careful.

Apple WWDC keynote takes place in San Jose, California today. This feature will help iPhone and the iPad users cut down on screen time and from time to time do a digital detox. It's also not a full picture of what will eventually come to your devices.

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 12, macOS 10.14, tvOS 12 and watchOS 5 during the keynote.

Two Harry and Meghan doccies on VIA this week
Following much pre-wedding speculation, the creator of Meghan's wedding dress was revealed as Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy. Meghan closed all of her own social media accounts and her blog, The Tig , a few months before her wedding.

The digital wellbeing movement has gone into overdrive in recent months. For me, this is where tech should have more impact.

iOS is Apple's most used, and most lucrative, operating system, so it tends to get the biggest chunk of time during these press events. The feature will also limit personal data sent to Apple served. Now Reuters reports that iOS 12 will introduce phone-to-phone AR - so two devices will be able to see the same scene, in sync, in augmented reality. Apple will also refresh 12-inch MacBook and MacBook Pro models with the latest chips and keyboards from Intel.

Exactly what Apple plans with its smart assistant Siri is not 100 percent clear, but as SiliconANGLE reported May 21, there's a strong possibility that Apple may be announcing enhanced conversational artificial intelligence for the service. The Cupertino, Calif. -based technology giant responded by saying it would add more "robust" parental controls to monitor the use of its products.

However, Apple will typically announce some hardware too, and it's very likely we'll see the unveiling of a cheaper HomePod mini, probably with Beats branding. Apple recently poached top Google AI executive John Giannandrea, after criticism about slow feature development compared to the competition. This would address developer apathy toward the Mac App Store, which hasn't been redesigned in several years. Nothing has really worked in the long run, and we are in the stage now where screen time is offered as reward for something else.
