Nabil Fekir: Liverpool close to £53m deal for Frenchman

Jean-Michel Aulas, the Lyon president, told his club's website on Thursday that the deal was "at a standstill" and unlikely to be concluded before the World Cup. If reports from the Mirror are to be believed, Liverpool are hoping that the French club would agree to sell Fekir for a fee of around £50 million.

Liverpool want to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible and announce Fekir's arrival over the course of the weekend.

Klopp is keen to have the bulk of the club's key transfer business done by the time his squad reconvene for pre-season training at Melwood in early July.

Fekir will take his medical on Friday, and it is now expected that the transfer will be completed before France leave for the World Cup. The transfer window is long.

"Then there price goes up and Liverpool behind the scenes are trying to sign Fekir before the World Cup".

All the iOS 12 features Apple didn't mention
Where Apple's effort seems to shine over Samsung's take is that you can customize your avatar's looks with a ton of diverse parts. On iOS 12 , up to 32 people will be able to call into a FaceTime chat, which is probably unnecessary, but also pretty awesome.

Aulas' comments had cast doubt over the deal, with the notoriously hard 69-year-old telling Lyon's official website: "The record is at a standstill, there is no way forward".

Aulas added: "The whole thing will certainly not be completed during the World Cup, and I don't think anything will change before it".

Fekir, an attacking midfielder also adept at playing off a main striker, had an incredible season in Ligue 1 last season - scoring 18 goals and registering eight assists.

An agreement with Naby Keita of RB Leipzig was struck this time a year ago, while Monaco midfielder Fabinho has moved to Anfield as well.
