Donald Trump’s ‘cringeworthy’ walk with Queen Elizabeth draws anger of Brits

The president and first lady Melania Trump were delivered by chauffeured Range Rover this morning to the courtyard of Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth II was awaiting them under a canopy on a dais - far from the anti-Trump protesters demonstrating across London.

As the Trumps were meeting the queen, the indictment of 12 Russian military officers for hacking the Democratic National Committee was handed down by the USA attorney general.

Blimp organizer Leo Murray told CNN the giant balloon had been created to speak to Trump "in a language that he understands, which is personal insults".

"If they're going somewhere or having a walk around, the Queen will actually walk slightly in front or alongside Mr Trump", Harrold said ahead of Trump's meeting.

Donald Trump reportedly kept Queen Elizabeth II waiting during a visit at Windsor Castle.

The president's critics on Twitter were quick to call him out for briefly walking in front of the queen, which is reportedly a social faux pas, during a ceremonial inspection of the Guard of Honor.

"The Star-Spangled Banner" was then played and the Queen guided the president on a review of the honour guard in the castle courtyard.

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump met with the Queen at Windsor Castle for tea yesterday (local time). "The feeling inside the palace is that Trump's disrespectful mistakes with the queen were bad and inexcusable".

Queen Elizabeth's tea for the Trumps was due to last 25 minutes according to the White House's schedule, the last part of their official visit.

Before it was abruptly cut from the final itinerary, there had also been talk that Trump might even get to visit Churchill's war room.

"He did literally eclipse her, but I don't think that was deliberate".

At one point, the queen can be seen gesturing to Trump, although it's unclear what exactly she may have been referring to. "She is just an incredible woman", Trump told The Sun newspaper.

"My mother loved the queen".

However, it does note: "Many people wish to observe the traditional forms".

Elizabeth has now met every United States president since Dwight Eisenhower with the exception of Lyndon Johnson, who did not visit England while in office.
