California plane crash: Nasim Ghanadan identified among the five killed

A small plane crashed in the parking lot of a strip mall outside of Anaheim, California, on Sunday, killing all five people on board, the authorities said.

The twin-engine Cessna plane was en route to John Wayne Airport when the pilot declared an emergency and crashed around 12:30 pm local time in Santa Ana yesterday, near the South Coast Plaza shopping mall, CNN reported.

Orange County Fire Authority Captain Steve Concialdi says the Cessna was heading to the airport when it came down and struck an empty parked vehicle in the lot of a Staples store.

"No one on the ground was injured", said Capt.

The mangled aircraft remained at the parking lot on Monday morning as officials worked on determining the cause of the crash.

The plane was registered to a San Francisco company, and had been flown from the East Bay suburb of Concord, according to FAA data tracked on the internet.

Sekulow said the important thing was that Trump's legal team shared accurate information with the special counsel. In response to the CNN report , Trump tweeted , "I did NOT know of the meeting with my son, Don jr".

"It actually came down in front of us".

Bystanders told journalists they saw the plane falling nose-first. "It didn't even look like it was trying to land".

The location of the crash is between the cities of Santa Ana and Costa Mesa, about 40 minutes south of Los Angeles. "It wasn't much devastation [on the ground] other than the actual plane crash".

The FAA arrived on the scene about 4 p.m. and the National Transportation Safety Board representatives were expected sometime this evening, Bommarito said.

The crash occurred in the parking lot of a shopping complex that includes Staples, a CVS drug store and a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. "#SantaAna", tweeted user @xomissella with a photo of the crumpled plane amidst some palm trees.
