United rebuff Barcelona's Pogba swap offer

The flamboyant Frenchman has been linked with a shock move to Barcelona over the past couple of weeks, with various reports claiming that his agent Mina Raiola is trying to engineer a second departure from Old Trafford for the World Cup victor.

France midfielder Paul Pogba enjoyed a successful World Cup playing as a mostly defensive central midfielder in Didier Deschamps' team who became world champions in Russian Federation. Recently, he was one of the protagonists of the French team that won the World Cup in Russian Federation.

The Red Devils are said to have been offered £45m upfront, as well as central-defensive target Yerry Mina and midfielder Andre Gomes.

FC Barcelona are keen on adding Paul Pogba to their squad this summer.

Man United's club-record signing was reportedly upset with Jose Mourinho's comments about him after France won the World Cup.

Some deals were completed on Tuesday, with Burnley signing former England number one Joe Hart and Derby striker Matej Vydra.

Google Mum on Chinese Search Engine Reports
China has some of the harshest laws that tech companies must comply with or face being banned from operating in the country. As a result of Google's absence, Baidu is the dominant search engine in China, and approved by its government.

Jose Mourinho wants Pogba back at Old Trafford and is hopeful he can replicate his form on the worldwide stage for United. The report says that discussions between the clubs never stopped and that the player wants the move.

United start their Premier League campaign on Friday at Leicester and, speaking on Sunday, Mourinho told MUTV: "My CEO knows what I want and I still have a few days to wait and see what happens".

Beyond the sensational headline, the Mail report does at least admit that United have "flatly denied" that Woodward has received any such message from Pogba.

According to the Times, the relationship between the pair has soured even further over the summer. Like Barca, they too are said to be willing to make a cash-plus-player offer for the 25-year-old, only their bid may be slightly more tempting for United.

Pogba joined United for £89m in 2016 but has failed to progress under Mourinho.
