Kevin Feige Gives Even MORE Details About CAPTAIN MARVEL

"With [Ant-Man and The Wasp] and now with Captain Marvel and many movies to be announced in the near future, I'm anxious for the time where it's not a novelty that there is a female-led superhero movie, but it is a norm", Feige told Entertainment Weekly.

With that in mind, there were some interesting nuggets - including confirmation of Carol Danvers's modern red, blue and gold suit - but one of the most striking revelations was the introduction of its cinematic military team. The heroine was given extra-dimensional powers when she tried to keep a weapon from being created, and Monica became a hero who operated under the name Captain Marvel.

Monica, who first appeared in 1982, had gone by various aliases in the comics, including Captain Marvel, Daystar, Pulsar, and Photon.

All the same, she's still who gets the call to fight Thanos once and for all, as we know from the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

'A LITTLE SELFISH': Steelers losing patience with absent Le'Veon Bell
Unlike Bell, I wasn't under the franchise tag, but I held out for 38 days prior to the 2012 National Football League season. One person doesn't make or break you. "Stars are made every year, so hopefully it aligns for him", Pouncey said.

But before long, Carol finds herself back on Earth with new questions about her past. He went on to say that her humanity is "also the thing that makes her great".

"This is not a superhero who's flawless or otherworldly or has some godlike connection", says Boden, who's the MCU's first female director.

The stand-alone film, co-directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Half Nelson), will see the part-human, part-alien superhero go head-to-head with Mar-Vell (Jude Law), Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), and an army of Skrulls. And she can be headstrong and reckless and doesn't always make the ideal decisions for herself.

We'll find out more, and hopefully learn at least a little about where the Kree fit in the present-day MCU, when Captain Marvel hits theaters March 8, 2019. Her suit is visible in all its glory on both the cover and in a still from the film, the latter of which you can see above. In addition, Lee Pace will be reprising his role as Ronan from Guardians Of The Galaxy.
