So What Is Apple Actually Going to Call the New Cheap iPhone?

The iPhone XS will have the same 5.8-inch OLED display, whereas the iPhone XS Max will have a massive 6.5-inch OLED display.

The slide also lists the Chinese prices for the phones, which MacRumors extrapolates to $700 United States dollars for the iPhone XC, $900 for the iPhone XS, and $1,015 for the iPhone XS Plus.

This has been the mystery that's been stumping us for months: what new phones will Apple actually bring out at the Steve Jobs theater? The company will be launching new hardware products including new iPhones, iPads, and the new Apple Watch.

While most people expect the largest 6.5-inch "iPhone XS Max/Plus" to face supply shortages, Bloomberg says the new 6.1-inch iPhone - tentatively dubbed "iPhone 9", "iPhone XC" or "XR" - might also ship in "limited quantities, initially".

It also flies against a previous Wall Street Journal report claiming Apple ordered more LCD screens in anticipation of higher demand compared to the iPhone XS and XS Max. There are already several leaks about these upcoming Apple devices.

It's also entirely possible that Apple might only announce some of these things at its event, and then either release the rest in a press release or have it just show up on its website. This year Apple is expected to launch three iPhones out of which two will come with OLED display and one with LCD display. The new larger iPhone X-like phone is expected to be more expensive than the starting price of £999 of 2017's iPhone X, further stretching the expense of top-end smartphones. She thinks that iPhone unit growth may surprise investors to the upside in Apple's 2019 fiscal year.

"We still believe the smartphone market has some healthy growth in the years to come, although finding and competing in those markets and segments is increasingly more challenging", said IDC analyst Ryan Reith.

The more unexpected option will be a 6.1-inch handset that costs about two thirds of the price of the iPhone XS but offers similar technology.

Now a "leak" from inside a Chinese telecoms firm might just have revealed two key details about the gadget: its name and price. Both tablets are rumoured to ditch Touch ID and the home button in favor of FaceID.

Next up is the new low-price MacBook.

Finally, as expected, AirPods 2 will show up, as will AirPower, the wireless charging pad that was announced at last year's event.
