The highly-anticipated new models of Apple iPhones and watches were launched from the Steve Jobs Theatre at the company's new headquarters in Cupertino, California on Wednesday. The new Watch 4 comes with a bunch of new features and a new design.

Apple Watch Series 4 can detect if you have a low heart rate (which can be a sign of serious health problems), and it can now screen your heart rhythms for AFib.

The new Apple Watch Series 4 comes with a few more design tweaks. Apple has made the cases of the new Apple Watch larger, too, bumping them to 40mm and 44mm, up from the 38mm and 42mm sizes found in previous generations. Along with the release of the new watches, Apple is dropping the price of the Series 3 to $279.

Inside the device is the S4 chip with a dual-core 64-bit processor, which deliverers 2x faster performance.

In addition, the Apple Watch Series 4 will have electrocardiogram (ECG) measuring capability that allows it to take ECG readings anytime.

Apple says that this is first FDA-approved ECG device that's available to consumers, and this new feature has been facilitated by the redesigned crown.

The Apple Watch Series 4 will be available from 21 September at $399 for the Global Positioning System model and $499 for the LTE version. The stainless steel option will also be available in a black finish. Apple Watch now supports Electrocardiogram (ECG) for better heart rate monitoring.

The interface can withhold up to eight customizable complications, which makes it the "ultimate health and fitness watch".

"One of the most common injuries is falls", Apple COO Jeff Williams said during the presentation.

The Series 4 will be available for order on September 14 and will hit store shelves on September 21. Apple even brought the American Heart Association's president and practicing cardiologist Ivor Benjamin on stage to tout the feature and its ability to evaluate your heart and find risks to possible heart issues.
