Israel hardliners back Trump following anti-Iran UN speech

Tensions with North Korea have eased since last year's General Assembly, when Trump called Kim Jong Un "rocket man," and threatened to "totally destroy" the country if it threatened the USA or its allies.

A few weeks earlier, Trump had canceled U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's trip to North Korea, citing lack of progress on denuclearization.

In a rebuke to US President Donald Trump, who spoke just hours before, Mr Rouhani said Iran was pleased other countries did not "acquiesce" to the US demands to break the deal. "He'll call on every country to join our pressure campaign in order to thwart Iran's global torrent of destructive activity".

Let my message today be clear: "We are watching, and we will come after you", Mr Bolton told an anti-Iran conference during the UN General Assembly in NY.

Let my message today be clear: "We are watching, and we will come after you", he will say.

Rouhani earlier said that as a precondition for any dialogue, Trump would need to fix the damage done by exiting the nuclear deal.

The peaceful message was in stark contrast to the dire one Trump offered in his first address to the U.N. General Assembly past year.

'Beast mode': Anthony Joshua's knockout combo wows fans
Joshua appeared to be in control in the opener, but Povetkin caught Joshua with a sweet three punch combo at the end of the round.

National Security Adviser John Bolton issued a striking rebuke to Iran Tuesday, warning its leaders that there will be "hell to pay" if they endanger USA citizens or allies.

Trump told the assembly, "In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than nearly any administration in the history of the country".

He said 'we are standing up for America and for the American people, and we are also standing up for the world'.

Trump had called Kim a "rocket man" bent on nuclear destruction in his United Nations speech previous year.

With respect to the United States policy in the Middle East, he claimed that thanks to USA military ISIL terrorists have been driven out of the territories they previously held. "The sanctions will stay in place until denuclearization occurs". The deal with South Korea is more complicated because of North Korea, which is in the midst of negotiations with the USA and South Korea over the dismantling of its nuclear program.

With the laughter audible, Trump smiled and said, "I didn't expect that reaction, but that's okay".

On Monday, Trump and Moon met on the sidelines of the General Assembly and agreed to move forward with engaging North Korea.
