Alex Bregman Picks Red Sox Over Dodgers In Game 3, Sweep Coming??

Nearly lost amid Muncy's late inning fireworks was a superb performance from Dodgers rookie starter Walker Buehler who pitched a seven inning gem.

The Red Sox almost got another run in the 15th against Kenta Maeda, the Dodgers' sixth reliever.

However, despite one dramatic turn after another on the field and Max Muncy living the dream with that walk-off homer well after midnight PT at the bottom of the 18th, the ratings for Fox did not hold out as long as the fans on Friday.

Both bullpens were outstanding, and both minimized the damage when both teams scored unusual runs in the weird 13th inning. The Red Sox' plan was to start former Yankee Nathan Eovaldi in Game 4, but he hurled six-plus innings Friday night which takes him out of the picture for Saturday. The veteran infielder appeared to slip as he fielded the grounder, and eventually sailed a throw wide of first base, allowing the Dodgers to tie the game.

Alexander walked Brock Holt to open the 13th, and he stole second base with Nunez at the plate. The throw got away from Hernandez as Nunez crossed first base and fell over, again, in pain. Like Dante in "Clerks", he wasn't even supposed to be here today, yet there he was, taking the mound in the 13th inning and keeping the Sox in it through 97 pitches he had no business throwing. With the score tied at two apiece, Los Angeles had re-ignited their flickering chances of securing the win.

With the game on the line, Bellinger made a play on the ball before throwing a dart to home plate and catching Kinsler tagging up. Bellinger was 275 feet from home when he caught Nunez's pinch-hit fly, Statcast said.

The three countries combined received more than $500 million from the fiscal year 2017, according to the AP. The group, mostly from Honduras , said they were fleeing violence and poverty, and included women and children.

The blown save spoiled a brilliant outing from Dodgers rookie right-handerWalker Buehler, who gave up just two hits over seven scoreless innings.

Jackie Bradley Jr. rewarded Alex Cora's trust in him with a game-tying homer in the eighth inning. Joc Pederson homered early for Los Angeles off Rick Porcello.

Walker Buehler threw the first pitch in autumn twilight at 5:10 p.m. But, partly because the Red Sox had no other options. He shifted Bradley from centre to left, moved Mookie Betts from right to centre and slid J.D. Martinez -the weakest of the three- from left over to right.

This is gonna be the impetus for commissioner Rob Manfred to put "pace of play" measures on extra-inning games, isn't it?

After pitching the eighth inning to preserve leads in the first two games of the Series, Eovaldi was the scheduled Game 4 starter.
