Cleveland Browns sack head coach Hue Jackson after 3-36-1 record

Browns fired Hue Jackson, per source. The 2017 Browns were the second team in National Football League history to finish the season winless.

The Browns are 2-5-1 this season.

Before Jackson was sacked, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network explained why Riley is among the names to watch when head coaching vacancies start popping up.

He shouldn't have been named head coach, and Haslsm doubled down on that mistake when he insisted incoming General Manager John Dorsey retain Jackson for this season rather than hire his own coach. "We certainly only wish Hue, Michelle, and his family the best moving forward".

The Cleveland Browns have fired coach Hue Jackson, who went 3-36-1 in two-plus seasons.

But the Browns have won only once since then and lost their past three, resulting in Jackson's sacking on Monday. Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini, Pat Shurmur, Rob Chudzinski and Mike Pettine all met the same demise.

As he introduced Bruce Springsteen , he said the following: 'I'm going to say one thing: F*ck Trump. He made no direct reference to the device found at the restaurant, or any of the earlier incidents.

For now, Williams is in charge as the Browns prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs (7-1) on Sunday.

Moments later, that news was confirmed by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Dorsey doesn't have reason to worry about that scenario anymore, however, as Haley also was sacked Monday afternoon.

Jimmy Haslam and Dorsey are scheduled to meet the media later Monday to discuss the shakeup. Hours out from the firing of Jackson by the Browns, the question remains: who will be the coaching staff in Cleveland by the time the day is through?

During his time with the Browns, Haley's offense only managed to score more than 23 points just once, and it was in a 45-42 loss to the Raiders.
