Kevin Durant ignites Warriors in fourth quarter

Thompson broke the single-game record for 3-pointers, finishing with 14, one more than the previous record set by Warriors teammate Stephen Curry.

Thompson raised his 3-point average from 13.8 percent (5-of-36 through the first seven games) to 31.7 percent after shooting 14-of-24 from deep against the helpless Bulls. The Warriors scored 92 points in the first half, second in the National Basketball Association record books.

Coming into Monday night's game against the Chicago Bulls, Thompson had struggled to get going on the offensive end.

Jordan, a career 45.0 per cent shooter from the line, made eight of nine free throws to improve his season percentage to 84.6 per cent.

The Knicks have lost five straight since a season-opening win, though they have fallen to contenders Golden State, Boston and Milwaukee. It was the Clippers' second win this season over the Rockets, who played without James Harden due to a hamstring injury and dropped to 1-4.

But it was quickly wiped out mostly by Curry, who made his first five shots, with three of them behind the arc.

Powerball numbers drawn for $750M jackpot
Lottery officials said the winning tickets were sold in Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Wisconsin. A retired veteran, Raymond Heft of Madison, is the lucky victor of the $1 million Powerball drawing from Wednesday, Oct. 24.

It's always hard to consistently gauge the performance of a tanking team, but this matchup might be the lowest point of the season yet.

With the game as good as won, it became simply a question of whether the red-hot Thompson would surpass Curry's three-pointer benchmark.

Tim Hardaway Jr. led NY with 24 points while Frank Ntilikina had 17 points. The Bulls half-court offense is at its best when Zach LaVine is able to get by his initial defender and either get to the rim or kick the ball out to a teammate for an open 3 pointer. Curry added 23 points and passed out 5 assists.

The team was clinging to life at halftime after allowing 92 points to the Warriors in the first half alone, finally passing away at the hands of a 149-123 defeat.

Dennis Smith scored 16 of his game high 27 points in the third quarter for Dallas. The new look was implemented to help stop the bleeding to a cut Thompson received in the third quarter after colliding with Damian Jones.

Buddy Hield scored seven of his 22 points in the final 6:18 as Sacramento took advantage of three late Washington turnovers to hold on 116-112.
