Mac Miller's death ruled accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol

Miller, 26, was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles-area home on September 7 and was declared dead soon after. The office said alcohol also contributed to his death.

The drug was also a factor in the fatal overdose suffered by rapper Lil Peep in November 2017.

Miller's assistant agreed, saying Miller was feeling positive about his projects, but said he had a tendency to slip into drug binges, and had such an episode three days before the one that left him dead.

According to the investigator's report, McCormick's personal assistant discovered him unresponsive in his bedroom and called 911. According to the report, "a white powdery substance, non-prescribed medication, prescription medication, and a rolled 20 dollar bill with white powder residue were collected from the scene and booked into evidence". The rapper died from accidentally overdosing on a mixture of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.
