Marvel Comics Legend Stan Lee Dead at 95

Tributes have been coming in for Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, who has died at the age of 95.

"I think Stan was really the first person to break down the barrier between creators and the readership side, and really build a really cool, kind of lasting connection through meeting people, conventions, the clubs he started at Marvel, letters responses he gave", said comics writer and writing professor Stephanie Phillips.

From Spidey to Black Panther to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, Lee collaborated with other authors and illustrators to put his lively imagination on the page. Famously, Lee has had a walk-on cameo in almost every Marvel movie made, and has been a figurehead for Marvel for generations. It became a running gag, with fans wondering at what point in a movie Lee would make his short but always memorable appearance.

Spider-Man is one of the most successfully licensed characters ever and he has soared through the NY skyline as a giant inflatable in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Montreal Stan Lee fans say they will miss him most as someone who turned outcasts into heroes.

"He was a real idea man", said Lovern Kindzierski.

Mr Dean confirmed that Sheriff's Sergeant Ron Helus , who was responding to the incident, was shot after he entered the building. He said a highway patrol officer who happened to be pulling someone over was nearby. "He looked like he knew what he was doing".

Tragedy struck Lee last year when he lost Joan, his wife of 69 years, who died at the age of 95. TMZ spoke to Lee's daughter, J.C. In 2005, Lee and Marvel settled their differences for $10 million.

Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 co-director Joe Russo has confirmed that the late Stan Lee has already filmed his Avengers 4 cameo. She even made it into one of Lee's famous film cameos, appearing in "X-Men: Apocalypse" (2016).

As the news of his demise spread, fans around the world, including actors, authors, and celebrities from various fields joined in to mourn his death.

Lee had a rocky relationship with Marvel once the company went full-tilt Hollywood. "And then I began to realize: entertainment is one of the most important things in people's lives".

Long-time rival DC comics also issued its own tribute to the "true legend", hailing his efforts in making comic books more accessible. "And I figured why not a legendary god?" "Rest in peace, Stan Lee. I was Spider-man, not Spider-woman, Spider-man", Elliot said.
